Walk or public transportation.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

This school has an extensive new arts center. Team sports as well as Karate are also offered.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

The school has a very responsive special needs committee. In general, the curriculum is very similar to schools in the USA. However, many diverse cultures enrich the curriculum. The school plans several week long events throughout the year to celebrate the diverse cultures and countries that make up the student population.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

The school has a Parent Support group that help parents to get actively involved in school events. The group initiates international cooking classes, excursions to places of interest in Japan and surrounding countries, and provides the opportunity to enjoy family events; such as Daddy-daughter dances, family movie nights, and Christmas Bazaars.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

I would advise contacting the school as early as possible to ensure a place for next years calender year.
