British

Preschool to Year 8 (with one year added each year, so students will be able to complete their schooling here).

Private car (necessitated by the political climate of the country)

Facilities are great - very well equipped school, open, airy classes; extra-curricular activities include some of everything from music classes, sports and dancing, arts and crafts, tutoring/homework, religious classes, etc.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
Wow- it has been amazing! There is a large Learning Support Unit to assist with language difficulties (spanish and english), as well as other learning problems. They work with groups of students, or with individuals who require more assistance. There is an on-staff speach therapist (5 days a week). Also, the staff are very approachable and willing to assist in areas that I have not seen in other schools. The school truly represents an International Education, helping students from all over the world adjust to the school, while still allowing them to share their schooling and cultural experiences with others.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
Yes, a very active PTA for events, publications, and school fundraising. Also, the social community is very active in Venezuela, so parents easily get involved and get to know each other.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Go for it! You will not be disappointed in this school, due to the amazing staff, facilities, and community the school has. The class sizes are perfect, the training of the staff is amazing (these are teachers handpicked from hundreds of applicants), and the overall community of the school is exemplary. I know parents with children in other international schools in Caracas and none speak as highly about their school as I do - and many have switched their kids over. A top notch school!
