Istanbul

How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

International; only students with foreign passports are alowed

What grade levels are represented at this school?

Pre-K to High School

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

Most children go by buses. But, it is very different from parent to parent -- how they like their children to go to school; each schoolbus has a driver and a stewardess speaking English.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

The facilities are wonderful; large classrooms; only up to 12 students are allowed per class, a very high qualified teaching staff, Extra activities: Indoor swimmingpool, dancing ballet, singing, ceramic and so on.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

They have given him extra lessons in English, taken very good care of him, all students learn to welcome new students and take of them.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There's a lot of social activities for parents such as: learning to know Istanbul, dinners, get-to-gether and so on. Every friday there's a parents meeting with or without the teacher discussing the school, and there are Parent and teachers meeting every month.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Go and see the school; talk to the teachers and the children; This is really a school where your child is happy when you go home in the afternoon.
