Describe your experience giving birth there. What type of facility did you go to? What (if any) type of pain management did you use? How long did you stay in the hospital? Was it a positive experience? Etc...
I gave birth via c-section at VIP Birthing Center in Guangzhou. I stayed in hospital for 5 days and was given IV pain relief. It was a wonderful experience, the staff spoke some English and my husband was able to stay the entire week in our private room.

How did you choose your doctor, midwife or other type of medical professional?
By recommendation from fellow expats.
If you were to have another child in this country, would you do anything differently in terms of preparation and/or the delivery?
No.
If a friend of yours living in the same country were expecting a baby, what advice would you give her?
Give birth in Guangzhou but be open to a c-section delivery as almost everyone I know that delivered here were convinced to have one (6 out of 7 women).
