What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
There is a smooth transition taken by the school for each new student. The teachers often allow a couple of months for the realities to set in. The people overall are gentle and kind. They will go to great lengths to assure comfort and confidence in your child. For instance, they assign a buddy system, they offer counseling whenever, a full-time nurse is on campus, and the teachers are highly trained and experienced to notice discomforts with a student. The parent-teacher relationship is very strong throughout the repatriation process.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There is a PTA organization which is very active and they accomplish a great deal. An annual fund-raiser is conducted by the PTA to hold a social event with food, live music, silent auction, live auction and student art auction. It's amazing what is accomplished in this distant country! The school schedule is very busy with many performances, plays, musical recitals, art shows, guests, etc.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
You will not regret a day at this school! It is the best school anywhere. The level of education and educational experiences is far greater than any other school I've ever come across. The student(s) as well as the family will benefit from the enrichment Graded has to offer.
