From a school that had nothing WIS has grown a great deal, the facilities are being upgraded on a regular basis and new one's added when funds are available

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

My children are Namibian. We do not want them to do their university studies in Namibia. The IB programe has offered an International education to our daughter who can study in most countries in the world. Our son will start the IB in August 07. WIS has given our children exposure to many other countries and cultures which is an education in its self

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

WIS has an active PTA which arranges get togethers for new families arriving at WIS. They do have many fund raising events and are currently supplying the school with additional shade areas

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

WIS is a very expensive school, but it is worth it. It would be nice to have more science labs, computers and smarter sports facilities, but I do beleive the fantastic teachers, careing approach makes up for everything
