How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

What grade levels are represented at this school?

K-8 (2006-07) adding 1 HS grade per year

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

About half walk or are driven by parents. The others come by school bus from Seoul, Bundang and other surrounding areas. The school has a boarding program so they don't have far to walk. The dorm is right on campus.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

They are excellent. The school has brand new facilities: 2 gyms, pool, tennis courts, turf socccer field, auditorium, 5 science labs, 3 computer labs, art rooms, music rooms, elementary and high school libraries, and an early learning center. There is a sports program which includes basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, swimming and cross country. Other activities offerred include band, choir, praise team, fan dance, Spanish and others that change depending on the year.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

They have a very helpful counseling program and the school is small enough that there is a close environment between students, parents and teachers.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There is a very active PTA and a few positions on the Board of Directors for parents. Some parents have also gotten involved with after school activities and sports programs.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

I would highly suggest Gyeonggi Suwon International School. It has a nice international and welcoming feel.
