Mainly driven to school by parents or students, others use the bus.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Wonderful facilities, and ever new technology being brought in. The facilities are constantly being updated and upgraded, and the sports teams are well supported in that sense. Extra curricular activities are available for all students. there are sports ranging from volleyball, football, basketball, swimming, track, and many others. student government is present and there are also many clubs that one can join.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

The school has given the students an insight to a new world from a new view. There are many trips and visits that take place to ensure more is learned, and the atmosphere in the school is truly unique. the teachers and staff all do all they can to help with new students, and the students seem to follow that lead.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There are organizations such as DAAPA which means, dubai american academy parents association. this is purely a parent run group which attempts to organize and run events. Every year they throw a halloween carnival which has rides and booths set up all over the school grounds.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

GREAT CHOICE. only advice is apply early, as there is always a long waiting list, all year round.
