Parent's Review of College Du Leman in Versoix, Switzerland
What is the name of your child's school? (Please report on one school per survey.)
College Du Leman
In what town or city is this school located?
Versoix
How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)
Too British-Rigid
What grade levels are represented at this school?
pre-k - high school
How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)
bus
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
DISCLAIMER--THIS IS MERELY MY OPINION WITH 3 KIDS IN THIS SCHOOL after 3 years: Good, as are sports and after school activities. Other than that, it is a money making machine unconcerned with your children's education--especially with individual needs of children. If you kid does not fit the mold, don't send her here. The administration, although the school is now owned by the US holding company, is very British and rigid. They pretend to be good communicators, but when you ask or inquire, they say your kid should be getting this information to you. After 3 years of not gettin the information or help, they continue to say "you kid must learn on her own to pull up her bootstraps."
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
My kids say it is easier than their school in the USA. NO repatriation programs that we have ever been informed about. Our family has experienced issues with bullying from students from Russia and Turkey without any intervention.
Again, this is just my personal experience and opinion. Communication with the business office is rude and non-existent. This is something that many of the other parents have informed us about as well.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Unfortunately the schools are full and your options are limited. However, go elsewhere. One of my children have suffered emotionally because of the situation at this school.
For us, the relief is in moving back to the USA this year.
