How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

Indian

What grade levels are represented at this school?

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

This school is located within the "Little India" of Kuala Lumpur the Brickfields area which has a large concentration of Expat Indians. Apart from Expat indians a lot of Local Indians also send their children to this school as this school also teaches Tamil a native language of a lot of Malaysian Indians. Most of the Children Walk or come to school by Bus.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

This school is a new enterant in Kuala Lumpur hence the Campus is not very large although it has gone from 1 campus to 2 Campuses. It does not have any swimming pool, not a lot of extra curricular activities like Horse riding etc. This is one area the school must improve upon

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

As the Indian Curriculam is followed in this school, hence the transition is not very difficult however the standard of education is still not at Par with good Indian schools back home.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

Parents are hardly represented in the school and have very little say. However the school is trying to improve upon this factor by gathering Parents feedback on a lot of factors and also implementing parents suggestions. A Formal Parents body would be a good step to strenthenthis area.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

I would suggest if a person is coming to Malaysia for a couple of years, it is recommended to get them enrolled the children in this school if the parents have plans to go back to India after that period. As the child will not have difficulty in following the curriculam and will also not face too much difficulties in Language.
