K12

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

Most children are dropped off; others get transport in luxury mini buses provided by the school. Public transport from most towns in the region drop off at bus stop outside the school gate.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Excellent facilities including a 200 seat theatre complete with full orchestra and grand piano. Their sports facilities are being upgraded but for now are limited to an all purpose court that is suitable for soccer, basketball, baseball and tennis. There is a multimedia suite and an interactive classroom which meets the latest expectancies as far as technology is concerned. A full computer suite is also available. Students in the last two years have their own laptops provided by the school.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

Their headmaster and admissions officer were proactive in explaining the differences between the US grading system and the international curriculum that they follow. We were able to compare the similarities very quickly and adapt accordingly.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

The school PTA is very active and pleasant. They organize regular events such as golf tournaments, charity balls and dinner evenings.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Consider enrolling rather than registering. Some parents have lost their places due to registering and waiting until the last minute to enrol. There are waiting lists for some classes.
