International

nursery - Grade 12

Most primary school kids live near the school but there is also a school bus for primary school (up to Grade 5) from 15th, 7th, and 17th arrondisements.
Older kids walk or take public transport.
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
Facilities are good bearing in mind it is an inner-city school.
The primary school is house in two attractive large houses in a quiet street. There is a small outdoor play area and the children are taken to nearby Ranelagh Park every day, which is a lovely park. Nice colourful classrooms.
The high school is in more of a central city location, but is also near Trocadero Gardens, where the younger high school kids are taken each day for break. Good classrooms, library, gym and science labs.
Excellent extra curricular programme for Grade 6 upwards - a real highlight for our son and all activities included in the fees. Includes cultural and sporting activities (which take place in nearby stadiums and pools).
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
In the high school (Grade 6 upwards) there is a 5 day trip organised in the third week of the school year with the express process of helping the year groups bond together and get to know each other properly. This was very well organised and our son loved it.
School is open and friendly and children adjust quickly. Its a tolerant environment and very supportive.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There is a PTA and a good social life around the school, with a large number of organised events. My husband also belongs to an informal dads group.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Try to visit if you can. If you are looking for something in central Paris and want a happy, open learning environment this could be for you.
