EURO-KINDERGARTEN Max und Moritz
In what town or city is this school located?
Berlin
How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)
International
What grade levels are represented at this school?
up to pre-school age (incl.)
How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)
near S-Bahn Schoeneberg; Busses
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
The German side of this kindergarten seems to be okay, but forget about the English side, esp. when your child is native English speaker. They don't learn anything new, but have to join the beginners. American speaker on board, so children learn the American accent instead of British English. Breakfast and snack is not included in the charges.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
Nothing really. My child hated the English teacher because she would not teach her anything more advanced. Staff is partly rubbish. The manager and assistant manager are not able to communicate with parents. Only their opinion counts. The manager likes to shout at parents when they have a different opinion. Absolutely out of order.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
Have no clue. You have to find out for yourself by reading all the different notes spread throughout the kindergarten. Nobody tells you anything.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Forget about it. They chucked my daughter out because they are too lazy to find a way to integrate my daughter who is an English native speaker.
