How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

Driven by parents or their drivers. The US embassy runs buses for children of its employees.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Nice grassed play areas under trees, football pitch, gym/basketball court. The school building is tidy and well-maintained; the campus very secure. Long and varied list of after school activities for all ages, although not a wide range of sports (mainly football and basketball).

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

High turnover of children as most families do a two or three year posting here. Very friendly and welcoming community, with lots of information about the IB/MYP/PYP programs. Initial support for non-English speakers. Secondary classes all go on bonding trips early in the year.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

Very active PTA organises many events, and school counsellor runs parent workshops. Staff yoga and dance sessions also open to parents.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

This is a truly quality school in an unlikely place (Uzbekistan). The staff seem commited and professional and the students engaged and happy.
