What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
There is NO help with transition for American students placed in the immersion program. They have a "buddy" system that doesn't work and our experience has been that the buddy is clueless to the real life issues facing a student coming into the school laterally.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
The organizations are great for people who are native speakers of any of the language programs but not necessarily for the English-speaking parents.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
THEY DO NOT HAVE A BULLYING POLICY so if this is important for your child's well-being, look elsewhere. The school does not address these types of problems between students and turns their heads to all sorts of issues related to adjustment and personal well-being for the child.
