How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

Bus organized by the school at additional cost. Transport provider is a highly respected and professional company. There is a hostess on each student bus; the hostess is responsible to take care of students and make sure safety rules are followed by students.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

There is variety of Clubs & Activities offered. Many port activities like basketball, swimming, volleyball, football and other sports. There is also dance and aerobics and variety of arts & crafts; music and academic activities including drama, foreign languages, games; as well as Primary and Student Councils. Each tri-mester most clubs change. The clubs are very well organized, interesting and our children have enjoyed participating in most of them. Our doughter have discovered her passion for drama after she tool part in drama production which was done in a very professional way.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

School have been very helpful in supporting our 2 children on our arrival. Extra english lessons have been organized for them, but the most important was that teachers took significant care to help our children to integrate socialy with other children and teachers and build good realtionships. The children are encouraged to think globally and to develop intercultural appreciation through the study of other countries, cultures, languages and peoples. Before our children was in Austria and we have recently move to International School in Switzerland and now we realize even more how MEF was clearly outperforming the other school. Our children truly miss the MEF. TEachers have been very helpfull to us also on relocation to Switzerland by encouriging our children and providing us with additional information to schoose the school in our new location. Greatz farewell party for our children was organized in the school on their own initiative.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

Parent teacher organization meets monthly and the executive meets on a tri-mester basis with members of the school's Senior Leadership Team. The Parent Council has fundraisers to assist and support the community as well as to raise funds for student and school endeavours.

Parents also assist at the school by volunteering to assist in classrooms, in the Library or on special event days, as well as to lend support during educational excursions.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

We strongly recommand MEF school in Izmir and regret that our children had to relocate after 3 years. Today after 3 months we keep keep benchmarking our new school with MEF and continously MEF outperforms in all aspects
