5 multi-storey buildings, sports fields (need some renovation)and new building entirely dedicated to our our bi-lingual program, called C-Ban. Extra curriculars cover art, music and sports.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

This program is not for everyone, because the children must be fluent in both English and Chinese. The students follow the Shanghai curriculum for Math and Chinese, while they follow the US curriculum for Reading, Writing, Language Arts,Science, History, and Geography. Any student who has transferred so far, has actually skipped a grade in their new school (US, Canada, Taiwan).

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There are activities available for the students, but parents gradually grow less interested in active involvement as their children grow older.

There are shows, charity events, book sales, presentations and other things of this nature.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Talk to the teachers. They are the ones that will be with your child from 8 to 5. Ask questions and if the teachers know what they are doing, they will be more than happy to tell you EVERYTHING about what goes on in their class.
