Only 20% mother tongue English. Mostly italians, russians
What grade levels are represented at this school?
pre K to 12
How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)
Car or new school bus service
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
Facilities, although beautiful and historic, are very limited. No real sports fields to speak of, very small student "hang out" areas, and IT in the classroom is still playing catch up. Just got a new theater built though.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
Transition? Not done at all. My child was bored silly the first term. No programs to prepare the child for next step either
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
We have a Parent organisation which is active and has several good activities for parents.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Hope academics aren't important. They will learn Italian!
