INDUS International School

International. It has both IB and IGSCE curriculums and is affliated to the IB World schools

What grade levels are represented at this school?

Upto O and A levels

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

By Bus or Car

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

The school has a wide gamut of extra curricular activities. Swimming, Foot-ball, Volley-ball, horse riding athletics, yoga, cricket, karate are some sports that are taughts.

The school has a breath taking campus with modern day facilities like GPS in buses to track child's locations, computers in classes to enable new methods of teaching, a dedicated and educated staff and most of all a child friendly environment with state of art technology.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

We have lived in three different locations. Bangladesh, Singapore and India. My kids have always studied in an International School following an IB curriculum. I remember when we relocated to India 4 years back from Singapore my daughter was in Prep 2 and although the curriculum's was the same the level at INDUS was much higher. She had lovely teachers to help her cope with the discrepancies and got her to the level of the class in a mere 6 months. She could read and write with fluency. Kudos to the dedicated staff at INDUS.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There are both informal and formal social activities available to parents. There are reading workshops where parents interact and there are UOI activities in which parents are encouraged to participate. Parents help is also called upon during events and major celebrations in school. There is a parent teacher organization in the school called PAC (Parent Action Committee)

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

INDUS has worked wonders for my two kids who have studied in this school from their inception. My daughter will now go to Grade 5 and son to Grade 3. The school is a good blend of academic and non academic growth, where the envirnment encourages growth, warmth, sensitivity and creativity. I am really impressed.
