Malacca

British with S'pore maths

Children who live nearby the school will usually walk or cycle to the school with parent's supervision, others are by own transport. No school bus provided.
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
Poor. The school renting an olden days bungalows since 20 years ago till now. No further expansion been planed, thus, facilities are limited here. Currently school is renting courts from malacca club and futsal for badminton and tchoukball activities which are about 5 mins drive from school. Parents are required to arrange own transport to get their child/children there. It's pretty uneasy for families who stay far from school as parents need to drive their children there and waited till end.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
Nothing much except Maths as they are using S'pore syllabus. English needs to be improved if called as an 'international school'.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
Social activities are poor. The school had been established for more than 20 years but doesn't seen much changed. Parents had to push for the extra activities which taken long times to pursuit. No PTA in the school as the principal refused to have it and excuses been given year by year and parents gave up of it. Hence, complaints were not be able to deliver and whenever parents approached to principal about the school matters, no further action or responses been taken.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
The school could be good if you are the type of parents who don't require too much in terms of academic. Although the management from principal to administrative are less manner and unprofessional, but can't neglect the efforts of some teachers to the students that had won good reputation and brighten the school up. p/s : the principle or the administrative may look warm when you show interest there, but as time goes, truth shown. Be more caution to the deposit or fees pay and especially when you withdrawing your child/children.
