How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Excellent facilities. The administration is keen to have the most up-to-date facilities in keeping with their aim of providing top academics. There is a selection of 2 rather impressive libraries for younger and older children, a new computer room with 24 hour internet access where children from age 6 begin learning the fundamentals of computers and begin playing with computer design. A choice of adventure playfrounds, a music room, an assembly hall where they also put on plays and beautiful wooded surround.

There are almost too may extra-curricular activities to choose from! Swimming, bible class, chess club, dance, music, sports club (children learn and do different sports every 3-4 weeks), tae kwon do, judo, drama.....the list is rather long.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

Because the school is truly international with over 20 nationalities represented, there is no stigma attached to being 'new'. Staff are very aware of seeing the world from a child's view and attempts are made to help every child belong. Additional help is given to children whose main language is not English and children who need some extra help.

Because the academic programme is so strong, there are few worries that children will be behind when they go back home to their own school systems. I have heard more than one parent email back on how their child was bored with the school programme when they returned back home.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There are several social activites organised by the parent organisation throughout the year. There are almost too many! The school has a real community feel and all nationalities are warmly welcomed.

Social activities for families have included: quiz night, thai dinner, dance, glam-80's rock concert. For children: child discos, outings to the museum to view the dinosaur displays, train rides. For families: pot luck dinners, used sales. It is an active school and vibrant community.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Definitely consider it, but do it quickly as places fill up fast. The parent community is very friendly and inviting to everyone. The last PA meeting I went to included Norwegians, Americans, Canadians, British, Scottish, Polish, Dutch, Italians and Australians. It is very international in nature and a fun yet academically strong programme for children.
