Parent's Review of TLC Oman in Muscat, Oman

What is the name of your child's school? (Please report on one school per survey.)

TLC Oman

In what town or city is this school located?

Muscat

How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

Almost British Curriculum

What grade levels are represented at this school?

nursery to primary 4

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

mini van drove by a woman driver

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

I completely agree with the report above. This is so far the worst school management i've ever dealt with. Principal is a snob rude person who talk to parents like if they were failure students in her class!! she uses hostile superior language and lecture them in a humiliating snob style!!

TLC is NOT a school, it is a building with apartments with regular rooms that were twisted to be classrooms. No facilities whatsover in that so called school. TLC charges very high fees for very poor academic environment, makes it the WORST MONEY VALUE EVER!! This TLC is simply a big nursery, lacking professional management, professional teachers, and good manners when communicating with parents.

I also noticed that some kids got their arms broken due to insecure play area. They also seem confused which class should your kid join!! they don't adopt a clear standards like age or grade, and then your kid might end up in a class that is completely not the right one for him/her!!

They also pick up kids in mini vans drove by women.. and make your kid wake up at 5am to be picked at 5:30am as it seems that those drivers are working women who needs to drop kids at school and run to their workplaces.

TLC is a fake project that will cost you a fortune and make you regret big time. I would never recommend this school for anyone, and if you stumble upon the name TLC run... run.. run..!

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

Nothing. My kid was exceeding in the U.S.A and after weeks at TLC, the curve of his school achievement started to decline. I had to withdraw him from this so called school after 7 weeks!

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

TLC doesnt adopt any social activities, except few charity meetings to collect money.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

When it comes to TLC oman, Run.. Run.. Run.. and dont look back.
