Most children walk, ride a bike, or ride the bus.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

The facilities are excellent. Great buildings and also a great playground. The school is located in Jinqiao, so the location is ideal for expat families. There are many neighborhoods surrounding the school. There are many after-school activities offered by the school. Many of the students are involved in Shanghai Sluggers baseball and also the Shanghai Dragons American football.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

This is an area that the school has really helped many families. There are counselors in every division that help families transition into the school and also help with repatriation. I will also say that the parent organization is quite supportive to the school and also to other parents like me.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

The parent-teacher organization is called the PSO (Parent Support Organization). Parents are involved in a positive way. (Supportive of the school and also new families)

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

One of the things that I really appreciate about Concordia is that they are an affiliate school of Columbia University Teachers College. I think if you're looking for the leading school in Shanghai in the teaching of reading and writing, then you should consider Concordia. Also, if you're looking for a place to live, then Jinqiao is a great place to consider. My family and I live in Jinqiao and have found it a great place to raise our children.
