What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
That was the origianl reason we put our children here, they were eager to help my children get caught up with them in the shcool year since we arrive late and it was a small welcoming environment. I don't think there is anything offered for repatriation.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
Since this is a small school there are many opportunities for parents to be involved. Parent TEacher Fellowship is a very busy group.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
International community is a Christian school. It is much smaller than any other international school on the island. It has a very international student body so your children will have friends from all over the world. We have liked the Christian education and small classrooms/more teacher attention at this school. It is improtant to remember one size does not fit all, and fortunatly in Singapore there are many good choices in International Schools. We believe in Christian education and we have recieved good academic support here as well. We have been happy here, more importantly my children have been happy here.
