Submitted by josejoe

What is the name of your child's school? (Please report on one school per survey.)

Menega

In what town or city is this school located?

Bangalore

How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

International

What grade levels are represented at this school?

LKG

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

We moved from Calcutta to Bangalore and I was looking for admissions into an International school. A colleague referred Trio world school (apparently they rely on word of mouth and parent references) I’d spoken to the admissions person before moving, who sent me all the information via email. Once I reached Bangalore, I scheduled a school tour. The first thing you notice about the school is that it’s a very warm, friendly and learning conducive environment. It didn’t seem very "corporatish "(as most international schools seem nowadays). I spent close to an hour at the school, the school tour was thorough, I had an opportunity to speak to the coordinator, who knew exactly what she was talking about and the principal, an academician himself. My children had a one day trial, I was very convinced about the school. My children have started going to school, they are very happy, there learning is fun and enjoyable, and they learn a lot. Everything is compulsory be it arts, dance, music, sports, swimming, or the curricular. They are exposed to everything. The fees is slightly high compared to a regular ICSE/CBSE school and ranges from 1.8-6 lacs. But the fees includes everything (4 meals a day, uniforms, robotics, lab fees etc.) and the facilities are world class. They also have an organic farm where every class has a patch of land to grow veggies etc. If you can afford it, the school is really worth it!
