I think by car mostly. Some kids have their own cars.
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
I am happy with the facilities. the school is very clean, well maintained, warm in winter and air conditioned in summer. It is a small school but there are science labs, good computer resoures a sports ground and specialised areas for the little children. The children all have school lunches made at the school. They love them.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
I was not sure about moving the family because of the school situation. My husband persuaded me to go and look at what was available. I went to see all the british schools but the one that stuck out by far was King Richard. I met the head Mrs Alcober and she was so great with the kids, they ended up staying for the day. When the kids started, last year, they were treated so kindly by everyone. They know so many of the teachers and the older kids.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
I found the school really helped me as a parent to adjust to the new life. I go for coffee with lots of teh mum's in teh morning and we have whatsapp groups. If we have some problems we find that they are taken seriously by teh management. Some of us go to the parents' Spanish classes after school...muy bien !
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Don't waste time looking at other options. A great school, I wish I had come to it as a child.
