How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
Facilities are poor. Old fashioned, very little ICT, poor library facilities, lack of appropriate reading materials, general lack of resources. Extra curricula is good although limited to school based. Not really up to international school standards.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
Nothing. Very old fashioned approach to education. Cultural awareness is not apparent . There is no transition programme. Very little evidence is Teachers being aware of how to deal with and support second language learners and ESL provision is very poor.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There is a good parent-teacher association. Staff are dedicated and involved.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Ask lots of questions and ask for evidence. Ask K how the school plans for individual needs. Visit classes to see for yourself. Ask how your child's performance will be monitored. Ask what ICT provision they have and how it is used to enhance your child's education. Ask about class sizes and teaching assistant support.
