What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

My two daughters have attended Kigali International Community School (KICS) for the past three years. While initially the experience was positive, it has progressively deteriorated. We are not a Christian family, but we put our daughters at KICS, a Christ-centered missionary school, because we believe that mutual respect, understanding and integration are essential in these difficult times of religious mistrust. However, senior school administration has forced out a number of teachers because "staff and faculty are required to assent to KICS unique religious identity", and one of my daughters has been persistently discouraged from taking on leadership positions at the school. On my complaint, School Board expressed the view that "students and their families are not required to assent but are required to accept this as identity of KICS" and "all aspects of KICS are expected to contribute to the fulfillment of KICS vision" which is "to impact the world for Christ by preparing servant leaders." KICS is not the place to send your children if you want to teach them tolerance and acceptance. I am in the process of moving my daughters, and several other parents have also left KICS due to inflexibility of the senior management. The lack of diversity of thought at KICS is a serious handicap.
