Older kids cycle or walk to school. Young kids are taken to school by parents. There is also bus service between Da Nang and Hoi An.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Green Shoots offers a range of extra curricular activities to students and community members from Reception and above. Teachers, some secondary students, and outside providers offer a broad range of activities which vary from term to term and include a range of:

1. Sports (for example: football, swimming, tennis, futsal)

2. Games (for example: chess, other board games, and Minecraft)

3. Skills (for example: knitting, cooking, sign language, jewellery making, and crafting)

4. Other activities (for example: mad scientists, choir, photography, and additional languages)

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

The school serves a tight-knit expatriate community and makes every effort to get to know all of the people enrolled with them – students, their parents, and their friends. Their small size allows them to respond to distinct circumstances and they take great pride in their ability to focus on the unique learning needs of each child.

Any school is, first and foremost, a place of academic learning and Green Shoots is no exception. Our small class groups, differentiated teaching and learning style, tightly-structured curriculum, and dedicated teaching staff ensure that your child will benefit from the best possible learning experience we can provide.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

The school's Parent Group is amazing and doing a wonderful job. The Parent Group is independent of the school but works with management to support families within community, organising parent get togethers and out-of-school events for students, and helping new families settle into Hoi An and Da Nang.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Your child/ren will be very happy there. My daughter goes to Green Shoots International School and she absolutely loves it. What a wonderful school where every child is valued. Small-sized classes in caring and nurturing environmentgive one-on-one attention to students, supporting each child to his or her potential and preparing them for the complex, global 21st century.
