International

PK-12

mostly cars and 3rd party vans
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
It's a building, limited green space but with playground, lbrary, science lab and gym on the top floor, it's not as huge as other schools but it's good.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
The school aligned their curriculum with US common core standards so it's easy to transition.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There is a parent teacher organization and the head of school listens very well to the parents' input. Instead of PTA, renamed to Parent Support Association.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Since it is a small school, easier to make friends and parents are welcoming, as well as the teachers. It's like a family, no bullying. Academically, there are homeworks so kids can learn more. Also, since it is a Chinese international school, kids will be taught Chinese culture and Mandarin language. My experience is Grade 1 -5 and so far I am satisfied. What the school lacks in facilities, they compensate with caring teachers/staff and good curriculum. For elementary, I do recommend it.
