Europa Kindergarten Max und Moritz (Private with Fees)

In what town or city is this school located?

Berlin

How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

Very International

What grade levels are represented at this school?

Nursery, Pre-school, Full time Day Care Centre till 19:30

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

Based very central in Schoneberg. Car, train and walk.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Excellent facilities and relaxed family atmosphere. Our daughter settled in straight away after a bad experience when attending the Berlin Kids Kindergarten. Children are in mixed age classes. Regular trips to theatre and cinema, including english language performances. Swimming (extra cost), music and sport are a part of the usual weekly timetable. Classes are maximum 15 children with 3 teachers. One teacher being the English language teacher who teaches every morning.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

Excellent regular meetings and chats with staff. Also social get togethers before christmas when the children perform.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

If you are working parents or have enough income to pay around 450-500 euro a month fee. This kindergarten is simply the best! My 3 year old daughter is now speaking English to me and German to my partner. So the bi-lingual aspect is definitely working. I feel very relaxed and secure leaving my daughter there knowing she is well looked after. She also always looks forward to going to the kindergarten - which is a good sign!
