An Expat Talks about Moving to Barcelona, Spain
What is the name of the city or town that you are reporting on?
Barcelona
What advice would you give someone preparing to move to your area about the actual move, choosing a neighborhood and finding a home?
Basic information is available in bookshops... detailed info is a matter of spending a searching visit to here. Other advice: Bring a lot of summer/swimming clothes and leave the umbrella at home.
What type of housing do you live in? Is this typical for most expats in your area?
I live in an apartment at Vila Olimpic and presume it must be common for most expats.
Are your housing costs higher or lower than they were in your home country? What is the average cost of housing there?
House is arranged by company, but learned from them that price is much higher (than the average). A 4 room apartment cost in that area around 700 Euros per month.
