Submitted by ResearchTeam

What is the name of the city or town that you are reporting on?

Cali

If a friend of yours living in the same country were expecting a baby, what advice would you give her?

1. Make sure to research the local healthcare system and find a doctor or midwife that you trust and feel comfortable with. 2. Consider taking a childbirth education class to learn more about the birthing process and what to expect. 3. Ask other expats in the area for advice and recommendations on local hospitals, doctors, and midwives. 4. Make sure to have a plan for after the baby is born, such as childcare, transportation, and other support services. 5. Familiarize yourself with the local laws and regulations regarding birth certificates and other paperwork. 6. Take advantage of the cultural and social activities available in Cali to meet other parents and build a support network.
