Expat Advice: Culture Shock in Denver, Colorado

Submitted by ResearchTeam

What is the name of the city or town that you are reporting on?

Denver

What are the most challenging aspects of the new culture?

Expats in Denver often find the local culture to be quite different from what they are used to. The pace of life is much slower than in many other cities, and the locals tend to be more laid-back and relaxed. Additionally, the weather can be unpredictable, with sudden snowstorms in the winter and hot, dry summers. The cost of living is also higher than in many other cities, making it difficult for expats to adjust to the local economy. Finally, the language barrier can be a challenge for expats, as English is not widely spoken in Denver.
