Expat Advice: Culture Shock in Pasay City, Philippines

Submitted by ResearchTeam

What is the name of the city or town that you are reporting on?

Pasay City

What are the most challenging aspects of the new culture?

Expats in Pasay City often find the local culture to be quite different from what they are used to. The language barrier can be a challenge, as English is not widely spoken. Additionally, the local customs and etiquette can be difficult to navigate, as they are quite different from those of other countries. Furthermore, the traffic and public transportation can be overwhelming, as the roads are often congested and the public transportation system is not always reliable. Finally, the cost of living can be high, as prices for goods and services can be quite expensive.
