Submitted by ResearchTeam

Phuket

Did you "commit" any embarrassing or humorous cultural blunders? If you did and you'd like to share them, please do tell!

It is important to be mindful of cultural norms when visiting Phuket. It is considered disrespectful to touch someone on the head, as the head is considered the most sacred part of the body. It is also important to dress modestly, as revealing clothing is considered inappropriate. Additionally, it is important to be aware of the local customs and traditions, and to be respectful of religious sites. It is also important to be aware of the local language and to avoid speaking loudly or using offensive language. Finally, it is important to be aware of the local customs regarding tipping, as it is not customary to tip in Thailand.
