Albufeira

If they speak another language in your new country, do you speak the language? If yes, did you learn the language before you moved or while abroad? If no, are you planning to learn the language?

I find the Portuguese to be friendly and extremely family oriented. If you can speak a little Portuguese with them it goes a long way. My wife and I are taking Portuguese classes and find it to be a bit difficult. It has been 45 years since I have been in school, so there is that.
