Did you "commit" any embarrassing or humorous cultural blunders? If you did and you'd like to share them, please do tell!

In New Providence, it is important to be aware of the local cultural norms. It is important to dress conservatively and be aware of local religious customs and festivals. Showing respect to the elderly is also considered important. It is also considered rude to publicly discuss one’s financial situation and to make jokes that are critical of another’s religion. In addition, try to avoid speaking too loudly or using offensive language in public, as this is viewed negatively. Finally, avoid discussing potentially controversial topics like politics and race, as this can be seen as disrespectful.
