It is considered impolite to not take off your shoes when entering someone's home in Australia. Additionally, it is important to be aware of local sensitivities surrounding Indigenous Australians; it is best to show respect and not use terms or phrases considered to be racist or culturally inappropriate. It is also considered rude to start eating before everybody at the table has been served. Lastly, public drunkenness is not tolerated and can be met with hefty fines.
