Welcome to St Andrews! If you're planning to move to St Andrews, congratulations on taking the first step towards a new adventure. While there are many things to think about before you leave, such as visas, housing, and transportation, it's important to remember that once you arrive, the fun really begins. In this article, we'll introduce you to some of the best sites, restaurants, and nightlife that St Andrews has to offer, as well as provide tips on recreational activities and making friends in St Andrews.

St Andrews, is a charming town known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and world-class golf courses. One of the most iconic sites in St Andrews is the St Andrews Cathedral, a ruined Roman Catholic cathedral that was once the largest in Scotland. Visitors can explore the ruins, climb St Rule's Tower for panoramic views of the town, or visit the cathedral's museum. Another must-visit is the St Andrews Castle, a picturesque ruin located on a rocky promontory overlooking a small beach. The castle houses a visitor centre with exhibits on its history and archaeology.

For golf enthusiasts, the Old Course at St Andrews Links is a must-visit. Known as the 'home of golf', it's one of the oldest golf courses in the world and has hosted numerous major championships. The East Sands Leisure Centre offers a range of indoor facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, and squash courts. For those interested in wildlife, the Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve, located just outside the town, is a great place for birdwatching and spotting seals.
