Summary: Health Care in Seoul: Locate providers, hospitals, and medical centers to find the best health services available for expats and nomads.

Seoul has a public and private healthcare system that provides quality medical care to its citizens and visitors. The public healthcare system is called the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) and is used by both citizens and foreigners.

Korea's Healthcare System

The public healthcare system in Korea is widely used by citizens and foreigners alike. People generally recommend using public hospitals in Seoul for serious medical emergencies and major surgery. Public hospitals in Seoul are well-equipped and staffed with experienced medical professionals. Foreigners, including expats and digital nomads, are allowed to use the public healthcare system in Korea. However, many expats prefer to use private hospitals for serious medical emergencies and major surgery. Private hospitals in Seoul are well-equipped and staffed with experienced medical professionals. They also offer a more personalized experience than public hospitals.
