Some of the more expensive neighborhoods like Germasogeia and Mouttagiaka might be out of your budget, so I'd recommend looking into areas like Agios Athanasios, Mesa Geitonia, or even Ypsonas. These neighborhoods are still close to the city center and have a good mix of locals and expats.When it comes to transportation, owning a car can be quite expensive due to high fuel prices and insurance costs. So, I'd suggest using public transportation or even getting a bicycle to get around. The bus system in Limassol is quite reliable, and a monthly pass costs around €40.Eating out can also be pricey, especially in touristy areas. To save money, I usually cook at home and shop at local markets for fresh produce. When I do eat out, I try to find local taverns or smaller restaurants that offer more affordable prices.As for entertainment, there are plenty of free or low-cost activities to enjoy in Limassol. You can spend time at the beach, go for hikes in the nearby Troodos Mountains, or explore the city's cultural sites like the ancient ruins of Amathus. These neighborhoods are more budget-friendly and still offer a decent quality of life. You might want to avoid more expensive areas like Germasogeia, Mouttagiaka, or Potamos tis Germasogeias, as the cost of living there can be significantly higher.When it comes to housing, you'll probably have to settle for a smaller apartment or a slightly older building to keep your rent within budget. You can expect to pay around $800 to $1,200 for a one or two-bedroom apartment in the more affordable neighborhoods.
