"I've been living in Suncheon for a while now, and I can tell you that it's definitely possible to live comfortably on $1,500 a month, but you'll have to make some sacrifices. First, you'll need to find an affordable place to live. I recommend looking for a one-room apartment or officetel in neighborhoods like Jorye-dong or Suncheon Station area. These areas are relatively cheaper compared to more expensive neighborhoods like Suncheon Bay or Dongcheon-dong. You can expect to pay around $300 to $500 a month for rent, depending on the size and location of the apartment.Next, you'll need to budget for utilities and internet. I usually spend around $100 a month on these expenses. For transportation, the public transportation system in Suncheon is quite affordable, with buses and taxis being the main options. I spend around $50 a month on transportation, but this can vary depending on how much you travel. When it comes to food, eating out can be quite affordable if you stick to local Korean restaurants and street food. You can visit local parks, museums, and cultural sites for free or at a low cost. There are also plenty of cafes, bars, and restaurants where you can hang out with friends without breaking the bank.
