"Hello! I've traveled Mexico over 75 times and feel in love with the Mayan culture. I visited Belize with my husband a few years ago. We both loved it and have now been visiting the small authentic village of Sarteneja. We purchased a small lot a few blocks away from the sea and are looking to build a small cabana there in hopes to spend more time there in the future, although retirement is still 10+ years away. Our daughter is interested in Marine Biology and Belize has only fueled that. We quickly made close ties to the locals and they are our family in Belize.
