"Life for expats and digital nomads in Zihuatanejo is often described as relaxed and laid-back, with a slower pace of life compared to many Western countries. The town offers a beautiful coastal setting, with stunning beaches and a warm, tropical climate that attracts many foreigners. Expats and digital nomads can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including surfing, fishing, and hiking. The local cuisine is also a highlight, with a variety of fresh seafood and traditional Mexican dishes available. The cost of living is generally lower than in many Western countries, making it an attractive destination for those looking to stretch their budget. However, it's important to note that while the cost of living may be lower, the standard of living may also be different, with some amenities and services not as readily available as in more developed countries. The local community is known for being friendly and welcoming to foreigners, and there is a growing expat community. However, it's worth noting that English is not widely spoken outside of the tourist areas, so learning some Spanish can be beneficial. For digital nomads, the internet connectivity can be a challenge. While there are places with reliable internet, it's not as widespread or as fast as in some other countries. Therefore, it's important to plan ahead and ensure you have a reliable internet connection for work.Despite these challenges, many expats and digital nomads find the laid-back lifestyle, beautiful surroundings, and friendly community make Zihuatanejo a great place to live and work," commented an expat living in Zihuatanejo.
