Kennedy Town, located at the western end of Sai Wan on Hong Kong Island, is a neighborhood that has transformed from a sleepy residential area into a vibrant, trendy hotspot. It is home to a number of attractions that appeal to both tourists and locals. The Lo Pan Temple, a Grade I historic building, is a must-visit site. Dedicated to the patron saint of Chinese builders and contractors, it is the only temple in Hong Kong that worships Lo Pan. Another notable site is the Kwun Yam Temple, which is one of the oldest temples in Hong Kong, dating back to 1873. The Sai Wan Swimming Shed is a popular spot for photography enthusiasts, offering stunning views of the sea. The Instagram-worthy spot is the last remaining swimming shed in Hong Kong. The Kennedy Town Community Complex, a former abattoir turned community center, is a unique architectural site. The complex houses a sports center, a public library, and other community facilities. The Instagram Pier, officially known as the Western District Public Cargo Working Area, is another popular spot, offering breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong skyline.

One of the most popular restaurants is Catch, a laid-back eatery that serves up fresh seafood dishes. Another favorite is Chino, a Mexican restaurant that combines Mexican-style street food with Japanese ingredients. For those craving Italian, Alvy’s offers New York-style pizzas and a wide selection of craft beers. The restaurant also has a lively bar scene. Another popular spot is Shoreditch, an urban chic bar that serves craft beers, cocktails, and British-inspired dishes. For a more relaxed vibe, head to The Pier, a waterfront bar that offers stunning views of Victoria Harbour.
