Summary: Here's a primer on how to get your driver's license in Lebanon.

Sometimes when you're new to a country a task like getting your driver's license can make you feel like you're 16 years old again trying to pass your driver's test. Here's an overview of the process of getting your driver's license in Lebanon.

In Lebanon, foreigners are allowed to drive if they possess a valid international driving license. This license must be issued by the same country that issued their passport. It's important to note that the international driving license is valid for one year only from the date of entry into Lebanon. After one year, foreigners are required to obtain a Lebanese driving license.

Additionally, foreigners must have third-party insurance for their vehicle. This insurance should cover any damages or injuries caused to other people or property in the event of an accident. It's also recommended to have comprehensive insurance to cover damages to your own vehicle.

As for regional differences, the requirements for driving in Lebanon are generally the same across the entire country. There are no specific rules or requirements that differ based on the city, state, or region in which a foreigner lives. However, it's always a good idea to check with local authorities or a legal advisor to ensure you have the most accurate and up-to-date information.
