Direct quotes from Expats in Mexico

"Everyplace has good parts and bad parts. Life is life! I love the weather, the people, the culture, the food, the natural beauty. I love Acapulco I don't like the violence/ corruption."

"I like the weather, cost of rent, fresh food. Don't like: dogs barking, heavy traffic."

"Making friends with locals has been a wonderful experience. My best friend doesn't speak English and has helped me improve my Spanish which has also been a wonderful, challenging experience."

"The people are generally friendly... but distant."

"There are many older single women, like me, here in San Miguel. Many are artists and/or writers. We can easily connect and socialize at events."
