Seeking for private bilingual schools

I am collecting information about life in Santo Domingo. I am a licensed physics and math teacher. I have received Maser's degree in physics education and would like to get hired in international school where English is the basic language. Are there such schools in DR? What is the average salary in such schools? I heard that Santo Domingo was not so safe city. True or false?
