UK Expat advice

Hi. Is there anyone out there from the UK? Im looking for some advice and support for a friend who is currently in Martinique with her ill husband after being off loaded from a cruise ship following a serious illness. Her husband is in hospital and although she is with him she is very much alone on an island that is completely foreign to her. Any advice about places to eat, contacts with uk expats.. anything really that might help her through this difficult time. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
